TOWN OF WARWICK SCENIC ROADS HEARING NOTICE The Tree Warden, Select Board and Planning Board of the Town of Warwick will hold a public hearing pursuant to M.G.L. Chapter 40 Section 15C ("Scenic Roads"), and M.G.L. Chapter 89, Section 3 ("The Shade Tree Law") on Wednesday, April 9 at 6:00 PM in the Town Hall. The purpose of this public hearing is to provide interested parties with the opportunity to comment on National Grid's proposed cutting of trees to upgrade the electrical lines by cutting an estimated 3 trees from the Orange Town Line to the end of the line on Hastings Heights Rd. and an estimated 12 trees on Gale Rd from the Orange Town Line to David Koester's House at the pond. Written comments will be accepted by the Planning Board prior to the hearing. The trees to be cut have been designated orange flagging by National Grid. If there are designated trees that you do not want cut, you should mark them with yellow plastic flagging. You may obtain yellow flagging from David Young, the Town Coordinator, or use your own yellow flagging. Please print your name with a magic marker on the yellow flagging, and attend the hearing to explain why the tree should not be cut. The trees should be marked at least a week before the hearing so they may be viewed by interested parties before the public hearing. The public hearing will be held on April 9, at 6:00 PM in the Town Hall. You are welcome to attend and offer any comments you might have relative to the proposed cutting, or you can submit written comments to the Planning Board or Tree Warden before the Hearing. The hearing will decide if cutting is to be allowed of the yellow flagged trees for each tree flagged, and to hear comments and concerns about the proposed cutting. If approval is given to proceed, the approval is good for 3 years. If you have any questions you may call Ted Cady (978-544-6410), or the Tree Warden.
