To the Regional School District Committee:

In accordance with the provisions of Chapter 71, Section 16B1/2 of the
Massachusetts General Laws, I hereby certify that the amount of
unencumbered excess and deficiency funds available as of July 1, 2007 for
the Pioneer Valley Regional School District is:

$261,205

Under the provisions of Chapter 71, Section 16B1/2, the unencumbered
excess and deficiency/surplus revenue funds in excess of five percent of
the operating budget and the budgeted capital costs for the succeeding
fiscal year should be applied to reduce the amount of the assessment.
For your District, any amount in excess of $ 734,622 must be used to
reduce assessments.
