Moore's Pond Beach Committee

6/28/10

Present:  Dave Shepardson
          Mario Tringali
	     Matt Connolly
          Kathy Connolly
          Gloria Varno
          Fran Prohaska
          Mary Williamson
          Clare Green - arrived after start of meeting

Meeting called to order at 6:05 PM at Moore's Pond Beach.  

*	Minutes read by Gloria Varno, Motion to accept by Dave, 2nd by
Matt.  Unanimously accepted as read with a few modifications.  
*	Reviewed Request for Determination of Applicability list which Mary
had provided.  (see attached)	
o	Added missing information such as depth and size of cavities under
and around sheds.
o	Which trees should be removed?
o	This list will become the attachment to the application when
presented at the Con Comm.'s meeting on July 13th.  
*	Kathy reported that the Board of Health approved the Application
for Permit to Operate a Bathing Beach.  They recommend a temporary sign
be posted before the July 4th holiday.  
*	Clare provided provisional sign wording to which members made
alterations and Clare will update.  (see attached) 
o	Clare will make modifications and give to Kathy to post on the side
of the shed.  After sheds are moved, we will position a kiosk facing the
beach near the entrance.  It was decided that it shouldn't face the
roadway, thus not advertising the beach to the general public.  
*	Members of the Conservation Commission arrived to review the list
of items we need approval on.
o	Members included Karro Frost, Chair; Kasey Rolih, Vice Chair; Mary
Williamson, Secretary; Ann Kendall; and Grigori Brodski.
o	One of the requirements on removing the sheds that Karro asked
about was how far the sheds were from the beach.  Mario and Matt
measured and added to the diagram that Mario had sketched.  
o	Discussed each of the one-time and on-going projects   
o	Con Comm suggested another on-going project of "removal of falling
debris" in case tree limbs fall etc.  
o	Karro suggested separate forms be filed, one for on-going and one
for one-time with the appropriate maps.  
*	Next meeting at the town hall will be on Monday, July 12, 2010 at
6:30 PM to review application forms; continue to work on mission
statement and policies.
*	Meeting adjourned at 8:10 PM
