Dec. 17 - 23, 2012

Mon. Dec. 17 
Began plowing and sanding all paved roads at 8 A.M. due to heavy
accumulation of ice on roadway then sanded all dirt roads - went home at
3 P.M.

Tues. Dec. 18 
Sanded dirt roads due to icy conditions
Tim went on two fire calls
Met with homeowner of brush cutting on Beech Hill Rd.
Spoke will Bill Paul and ordered Backhoe parts to repair hydraulic problem

Wed. Dec. 19 
Called in personnel at 3 A.M. to sand all paved roads due to yesterdays
rain and temperatures dropping below freezing and spot sanded dirt roads
Tim went to MEMA Debris Management Conference in Holyoke all day
Did maintenance to 1-ton plows
Washed sand trucks
Made repairs to truck # 3 sander

Thurs. Dec. 20 
Continued cutting brush on Beech Hill Rd. 
Met with National Grid representatives, Lt. Brian Miner and Asst. EMD
Director Bill Lyman to go over power line feeds in Warwick
Tim went on two fire calls

Fri. Dec. 21
Called in personnel at 3 A.M. to sand paved roads - called in private
contractors at 6 A.M. and plowed all roads due to 2" of heavy, wet snow
Checked all roads for tree debris due to high wind - called in trees on
wires to Verizon and National Grid - also reported a broken, leaning
pole on Winchester Rd.
