Women's Guild - Rosa Calcari October's Guild meeting was graced with the presence of Katherine Magi, who was presented with the Boston Post Cane by Selectboard Chair Patricia Lemon. Katherine looked particularly lovely and radiant in her elegant black sweater. Her daughter Dawn was beaming with pride as Patricia spoke of Katherine's life and heritage. Warwick is fortunate to have such a gracious lady living in our midst. Larry Carey read a passage from his newest novel "Caleb Caleb Caleb", the sequel to "The Town Barn Isn't There Anymore". Larry's reading drew his audience into a wedding followed by a pig roast reception and the dalliances of ladies' man Caleb. You could see, hear and smell the festivities as if it were all unfolding right around you. At the conclusion of his reading Larry and his wife Cathy discussed their experiences of logging in the early days of their 59-year marriage. Jim Vitous made a presentation of the materials to be used for the sign the Guild will be commissioning and donating to the town. The November Guild Meeting will be held Wednesday, November 7, at 1 p.m. in the Town Hall. Decoupage experts and crafty ladies are needed to help decoupage the lids of tins that will be sold at the Holiday Craft Fair in December. Bring your artistic talents and join in the fun!
