Coordinator report September 27, 2012 Donny Matthews came to see me regarding the town gravel bank. He reports that the removal began 20 years ago and was prompted by the State who require we have a place to dump brush and stumps and the like. When the removal is completed in a few years we will have a flat spot the intersects the landscape. By previous vote of a Selectboard the material may not be removed from Town. This condition is being adhered to. DHCD has told Greenfield, as a mini-entitlement community, that they may not "partner" with other communities. Greenfield is meeting with the state. In the mean-time we are in limbo. I recommend we remain so until this is resolved. We don't have any money to be managed anyway at this date. We could take this in-house and have all the mortages transferred to the Town of Warwick and out of the name of the housing authority. The Mt Grace H Tower Permit / Contract is not before us. The effort will be a year old in Oct. Senator Rosenberg's office has been working on this. The Senator met with DCR liason to the Senate in an effort to get this moved to the top of the pile. I was contacted today by DCR's consultant for some information which I supplied. MBI contractor G4S' payments to our police department have been very slow. MBI intervened and the check arrived today. Tech School is on the scene at the transfer station to finish the new shed. I am talking with them about assuming a role on other building projects, namely the new public safety building. That project awaits stamped plans according to Chief Gates. The next Hazard Mitigation Committee is at 2 pm on Oct 25 at the Town Hall. TDL Sensor has been located in a tree on Common. I submitted to MEMA a request for EMPG Grant reimbursement and wrote and submitted new grant for $2200 which will supply a new base station radio for the EOC and two pagers for firefighters. Woodpile at dump did not sell. I am going to re-advertise. Sale of the old GMC truck was by eBay. High bidder was from NY and paid $5,250. Tim has Chapter 90 project reimbursement requests before the board for approval and signature.
