Coordinator Report September 15, 2011 Constable Day posted the Special Town Meeting scheduled September 26 at 7 pm. The warrant consists of two pages of articles and seven pages of attached zoning changes which includes two maps. Nick developed a document with track changes which I have printed and supplied to the library and town clerk. I have scheduled the 3rd annual Internet Satellite Dish Toss for 5:45 pm that evening and the Fire Dept. will sell hot dogs beginning at 5:30 pm so folks can get a bite to eat. At 6:45 pm we will dedicate the maple tree to Les Goodman. Postcards were mailed this week to publicize the meeting and events. Alana Day of Orange Rd has volunteered and will be appointed to the Cemetery Commission by the Selectboard Monday evening, making a full committee. Jim Toth, former commissioner has graciously volunteered to continue to help the committee learn the ropes. Building inspector Delorey will join Attorney Dupere and me in housing court on the 16th in the Severance matter. I will seek an order allowing night time inspections and an order to hire contractors to finish the project within two months. The Gallagher and Dyer ZBA special permit applications were received and the hearings scheduled for Oct 27 at 7 pm. Highway department got the crack sealing done on the school driveway and ball court. We executed the $50k grant agreement with Mass Broadband Institute. I have posted the 9/21 joint meeting with the Board of Health to discuss management and governance of the transfer station. We will need to meet in the board room on the second floor as the Historical Society has reserved the dining hall. We are making some sand bags to secure the soccer goals. Thanks to Steve Rugerrio for the empty bags. The goals were held down with tent stakes but we are seeing too much water. The school administration raised a safety issue that the bags will solve. The recreation committee has reserved the Town hall for a Halloween party on Monday the 31st of Oct. The Selectboard meets that night so we will need to meet in the board room. Feel free to come in costume. I have lined up boiler / furnace cleaning for library and town hall. We transferred the old copier to the library, the library's old copier to the police department. The flags at Fellows memorial and the Veterans monument are faded so I have ordered new ones. I will get the crab apple trees pruned. I am out of the office next week during the day Monday, Thursday pm and Friday for outside business. I will return to town in time for the Selectboard meeting Monday evening.
