Coordinator Report August 8, 2008 * Attended Open Meeting Seminar * Conferred with Jon Fitch at Princeton Light regarding their broadband system * Conferred with WiValley in NH re: operating Warwick broadband system * Attended Finance Committee Meeting * Observed WCS Sprinkler tests. Both pneumatic and hydraulic tests passed. Automatic system is scheduled to be restored on August 11. * Cataloged my knowledge of Warwick School facility needs and had site visit with phone installer * Provided wage survey and materials to Personnel Committee * Wrote analysis of snow and ice operations and made recommendation on Highway superintendent pay. I recommend overtime at straight time, three year appointment letter, no contract, governed by Personnel Policy, and no action on article 6 of special town meeting. * Met with Broadband Committee * Worked on broadband coverage map * Developed letter to employees with posted hours * Met with Town Clerk, Police and Fire Chiefs, Highway Super, Town Counsel, EMS and member of Personnel Committee * Printed special town meeting materials, got constable to post * Working on a grant for solar lighting for the flagpole * Facilitated installation of donated bench on park * Town hall work day was held * Charley fixed water pressure and some leaky water valves saving us a visit by a plumber. * Reviewed WCS grant adjustment * Second pendant sign delivered. * MA Highways in town twice to work on setting bounds. Thanks to Jim Toth for his help. * Illegal trailer will be in court on August 15. * Updated town financial model to reflect best estimates of changes to the WCS grant payments by Commonwealth, Finance Committee recommendations for special town meeting and downward changes to PVRS budget. Impact is that the tax rate will go down next year from about $16 to $15.25 even after voting $40,000 to seed the broadband project.
