Coordinator Report August 25, 2016 We have an application for a one day beer wine license by David Shepardson on behalf of the Beach Committee for an event at Town hall on Sept. 17, 2016. I am working on a retail on-premises wine and malt license application with Jim Kilroy for the Warwick General Store site which is now called the Barn Owl. Miryam has requested an agenda item to provide MCAP update (pipeline resistance) and has provided a document for your review. We continue to meet with Town Accountant and most recently discussed keeping a prioritized list of action items. I am going to schedule a working meeting with staff to discuss the auditor's management letter and implementation of recommendations. There were no findings. Would the board like to participate at this level or as a next step? Elevator inspection hoist-way issue is that there is a sensor in the hoist way and it failed a year ago when tested. The inspector says remove it. We will do so provided we can establish that we won't be replacing it next year at the next inspection. If required, we will fix it. Our sixty day clock is ticking. Greenwood alarm and Eagle elevator are being responsive. Tom Wyatt and I met with MBI staff for some clarification on the grant process. It is clear that "skin in the game" is important so we are not proposing an all grant funded activity. I am working on providing a range of documents needed by MBI to make a decision including an updated timeline and band mapping. We put up the first of the new 5 GHz internet radios which is facing Moore's Pond and have begun to migrate customers to this equipment. Highway department worked with our three neighboring towns that are part of the Pioneer School District to do road and sidewalk work at the high school this week. Our contribution was appreciated and Northfield provided the four highway crews with a meal. Our highway department is working to make some changes at WCS to have better and safer pedestrian walkway and more orderly visitor traffic. School starts Wednesday August 31. Old Home Days are this coming weekend and kick off with an old fashioned sock hop at the WCS on Friday evening. The parade is Saturday morning.
