Coordinator report - July 3, 2014

Is now permitted for a member of Selectboard to participate in meetings
remotely.  Discussion is to allow this of other boards. Remember that a
quorum must be present in the meeting room for this remote participation
to occur.

We have located the equivalent of a hole with area of three square feet
in the roof of the WCS gym. Tuesday will meet with the BEC to discuss
our options to cure in addition to foaming the vented ridge shut.
Solution is trending toward removal of the plywood and strapping and
"cold roof" and adding more foam board then re-roofing a "hot deck".

I am headed to a meeting today about the technology "plan" review at the
school district. Bill, John and Dawn are also attending.  The consultant
rejected every idea we proposed, or suggested phasing in with a not
present five year plan. They recommend new machines with 8 GB ram and
say Windows 8 needs to be implemented. Devoid of context and no
underlying basis is cited much of the time in their "findings".

Guy representing TGP came by and left a card saying they would be
surveying the route where proposed line crosses town roads. I told him
he should notify the PD same as if he were selling encyclopedias door to
door.  Since we objected to survey of town lands on the basis that
"survey" has much deeper implications I don't see why flagging so they
and we know where they propose to cross public ways should be an issue.
Note we do not own our roads in fee but instead have rights of way for
the public to pass.

Town of Orange wants our old surplus IHC truck. I am seeking a vote to
approve this inter-municipal sale in the amount of $10,000.  Is a fair
price and no one has offered us more. Has been on Craigslist for more
than a month.
