Coordinator Report July 14, 2016 We started the external CPA audit on July 14. The board had previously voted to engage Scanlon of Deerfield which is the firm that has done our audits in recent past. Not much to report by way of accounting update. I get copies whenever the accountant is seeking source documents. Since this is a lighter than usual agenda I suggest we review the comments received to date regarding landline Phone service at the meeting. We are still waiting for a happy customer to report in, though that was not the question asked. Erving's administrator contacted me regarding the prospect of our permitting Laurel Lake Erving folk to use the Warwick Transfer Station. The rest of Erving has curb pickup. I suggested putting a dumpster that is accessible to these residents on DCR park land. I agreed to pursue the option here. Green bagged trash pays its way. We lose money on recycling. I have included the solid waste district in the conversation. I want some direction in order to move forward. By meeting time we will have had our first readiness meeting with MBI. We were contacted by Ms. Eiseman with concerns over problem language in Economic Development Bill. With her help providing clean language I contacted Senate President Rosenberg and heard back from him immediately to the effect that he will take note. The Tech School (FCTS) capital spending has incurred an under-run. That is to say they got the work done under budget. They are going to expand the project to a small extent and refund the town's the unexpended amount. I was able to obtain EPMP grant extensions for the fire pagers. Our energy technical assistance grant was approved. Friday the 15 is the last date to submit a fiscal year 2016 bill and I think we picked up all open balances for payment. We got a letter from MA DOT that starts out saying that it may not apply and then goes on to tell us they are inspecting bridges with spans longer than ten feet and that it is our responsibility to post them. I forwarded to Planning Board and to Highway. This seems contrary to the advice they gave us when we wanted to post our bridges in the context of the possible pipeline.
