Coordinator Report June 24, 2008 Prepared for Selectboard, BOH, and Finance committee meetings. Met with Finance Committee regarding Reserve Fund transfers. Also reported on some probable special town meeting matters including wireless broadband appropriation and transfer station enterprise fund. Discussed snow and ice highway overtime. Lightning damaged the satellite Internet system and the town hall fire/heat/smoke detection system. Greenwood came to make repairs on the latter and Soundpower is coming to work on the Hughes Internet system. Also dealt with problem with sump pump, which I put back to work with all the recent rain. The septic system was pumped and reportedly is in good stead meaning we can safely keep of a five-year schedule. Met with Nick and Tim regarding highway supervisor's evaluation. This is completed and in the file. Tim is to be commended for the job he is doing. Tim reported problems with our plan for changing road speed limit signs. I will follow-up and include Jim Toth as this was his signature project. Met with Treasurer regarding borrowing for Chapter 90 and highway truck purchase. Phone meeting with Roland Weld regarding fire department matters including proposed shed at highway barn for storing apparatus. Phone meeting with Terry Williams of DOR regarding enterprise funds. He referred me to an IGR on the subject. No date on the ATM motion is not a problem as July 1 is assumed if no date provided. Reviewed some grant funding notices. Got the bond company to combine the Treasurer and Collector bonds, as is same bond despite their initial refusal. This saved about $400. Assisted BOH, School Committee and other board and committee members with matters. Sent a memo on retirement contributions to newly elected. Reviewed departmental year-end expenditure reports. Met with incoming and outgoing building inspectors. Sent appointment letters to Accountant and Building Inspector. Submitted bills for payment. Consulted with Town Counsel regarding zoning enforcement. Friday the 20th was last day to remove mobile home before fines. Confirmed that it had not been removed. We will next seek a hearing date and ask the court for an order. Fire department received the gift of tires for one of our fire trucks from Peter Gerry of Pete's Tire Barns. I will write a letter to acknowledge and thank him.
