Coordinator report May 4, 2017 We have plan to move forward with a utility approved project expeditor (PEX) to install about 11 tons of Fuji air source heat pumps in town hall and highway department office. The grant requires that we obtain all "incentives" and we will get about $9k from this project which we will need to use as part of . We will need the remaining grant plus the incentive to pay for this work. This warrant has $26k initial payment / deposit. Work will begin 15 May using a local contractor, Gates of Deerfield. I have to close out the grant by June 30. The closest contract we have considered prior to this one used all our funds to do the four offices with a total of three or four tons of total capacity. This proposal adds the main and dining halls and Larry's office and comes to 11 tons of cooling and heating. This came together as a result of a lot of work by Chairman of Building and Energy Kurkoski. She worked with the subcontractor, and found a PEX willing to oversee the job for a 10% fee on top of cost. This is included in the contract. I'll be looking for the board to approve the contract and sign the warrant for the deposit. Memorial Day observance is Saturday May 27 and the committee would like a Selectboard representative to welcome participants. We will be sure to have the grounds looking good for the occasion. I am requesting board approval for a couple of additional projects at the Town Hall. The Rec Committee has purchased badminton net and I'd like to paint lines in the main hall. We'd put some urethane down under the location of the lines so that they can be buffed off later and won't color the oak. The other project involves dealing with lower basement records storage and creating secure broadband workspace and storage in the lower basement rather than my office and hallway.
