Coordinator Report May 30, 2013 Steve Pontz of Flower Hill Rd has asked to be on the agenda. He has sought and received recognition of our Town's 250 Anniversary and will attend the meeting to make a presentation. I have requested, at the behest of Dawn Magi, a joint meeting of the 250th Committee and the Old Home Day committee and tentatively proposed Thursday June 6 at 7 pm to review upcoming events including parade and scheduling a recognition event to award the commemorative medals. I am requesting the Selectboard increase the town hall custodian pay rate from $10 to $15 per hour. As well I seek authorization to increase Ray Lemek's broadband installer hourly rate from $15 to $25 per hour. This is consistent with the terms of the MBI grant and the basis paid other installers. Ray is now far more experienced than when he began. In addition I am at Ray's request advertising for another installer as he wants less work. Utility has request pole hearings on three separate locations: Northfield Rd; Flower Hill and Winchester Rd; and Royalston Rd and Chase Hill Rd. Need to schedule a time about a month out so that the notice requirement is met. I suggest Monday June 24th which is a regular meeting date. While I was on vacation I received the technical analysis of the Warwick / Seaboard solar project located in Ware and West Brookfield. The cost to interconnect was $1.2M. Not having a context this seemed really high and I guessed that the project needs a new site. Not so I learned after conferring with David Thomas who said they are very encouraged and actually looking for a fifth town. Based on a suggestion by Ted Cady I contacted Thomas wondering if it would be possible for the Warwick Municipal Light Plant the Town has established to be net meter host for an additional PV project as we believe under the law the Town and the Light Plant are separate entities. It is possible the Warwick Municipal Light Plant would be eligible and I have indicated its interest in hosting a project independent of the already in place agreement between Seaboard and Warwick. I have asked Russ Dupere for some advice on this and will follow up with Mr. Thomas. Mrs. Lemon has concern about any future Selectboard meetings with the FD being held in a ADA compliant space. As ADA coordinator I must agree with her. We have a required report to submit to Executive Office of Administration and Finance on our non-participation in the GIC health insurance plan. We saved $13k being in the Hampshire COG Insurance Trust. Board needs to sign the election warrant for the Special Senate statewide election.
