TOWN OF WARWICK Cemetery Commission MEETING Minutes April 29, 2010 Called To Order at 2 PM at Warwick Town Hall by Chair Toth. Attending: Jim Toth, Ed Hawes, & Jeff Joyce Minutes Of 4/15/2010 Meeting moved by Ed and seconded by Jeff, all in favor as written Review Of All Outstanding Bills. Moved by Jeff to pay invoice from Gary's for new battery for mower, seconded by Jin, all in favor Upcoming Burials: 5/15/2010 10AM Elva Amaret (Tarbell) (Johnson) Procopio, traditional Sec 7, Lot 91 5/22/2010 11AM Marion Whipple, cremation Sec 3 Lot 238 Discussion of Mowing and Trimming. Jeff reports that George Roaf has indicated that he will stay on as mower and do the trimming as well. Other Business: Jim discussed the special perpetual care bequests for two lots that were found in the old records. Henry A. Witherell Fund set up on 2/27/1921 in the amount of $100 includes provisions to place four new American flags per year - Memorial Day, Old Home Day, November 23, and New Year's Day at Henry's grave in Lot 53 of Sec 3; and Eliza Brown Fund for upkeep and stone replacement $200 2/28/1894 for the Oliver Sandin lot, Lot 6 sec 3. Ed brought the subject of a Town Meeting Article about green burials back to the table. Discussion included noting that the warrant was closed for the 5/3/2010 ATM but we could take our time and craft something for the next ATM. Ed will attempt initial draft of the article. Set Next Meeting Date: 5/19/2010 2 PM Adjourn to Cemetery for site review and workshop 2:30 PM where leaf pickup along Rte 78 was discussed and it was decided to not to pick up the leaves this spring.
