BROADBAND UPDATE - Miryam Williamson

The town's broadband internet system now has seventeen subscribers, five
of which are town offices.
 
Our installers are still working as volunteers.  As time permits, they
are visiting the homes of people on the waiting list to see where the
signal is strong enough to warrant installation. As subscriber fees
accumulate in the enterprise fund, we hope to extend the signal to areas
that are currently inaccessible.
 
The broadband committee has posted meetings at 3:30 p.m. on Fridays in
the town hall boards room until the end of June. You are always welcome
to attend.  We don't meet if we have no business to transact, so it's
always best to check before setting out for the town hall.
