Warwick Buildings and Energy Committee draft minutes October 19th, 2011, at 6:48 pm Attending: Jack Cadwell, Janice Kurkoski, Steve Kurkoski, Jim Toth, Dan Dibble September meeting minutes accepted TOWN HALL Windows Jack has not heard from Don Haywood concerning the windows in the dining room. We decided to install the winserts as a temporary measure. David has not been able to get Carbones to finish installing the storm windows in the meeting hall. Jack will contact David and find out what the next step is to get the storms installed. Kitchen hot water The kitchen has been reported to run out of hot water during senior meals the last couple of weeks. Dan will monitor this and get back to the committee if there is a problem. Wall moisture above the dinning room windows Water was found above the east windows on the interior indicating that the window drip caps are failing. A motion was made that David procure services to replace window drip cap flashing on the five east dinning room/bathroom windows. WARWICK SCHOOL Metal asbestos chimney clearance Dan reports the specification for the chimney was for a metal asbestos chimney and the architect office has never been notified of any changes. Dan had asked Tom Ziniti if he could help us out in school matters - he is mulling it over. MISCELLANEOUS Winsert workshop We are going to put a notice in the newsletter about a potential workshop to see how much interest there is in town for this. The main hall needs winserts with some slight modifications to the opening and removal of the pull-down shades. The Library, fire and police stations need them as well. Help Wanted Letter Jack has drafted a letter. The committee made a few changes. This letter will be sent to the newsletter. The Warwick Garlic and Arts Energy Poster will be displayed in the town hall. Janice will find and submit to David the electrical energy use for the town hall and the solar production for the same time period. Possibly this information could be shared in the newsletter.
