JOB TITLE: Wireless Broadband Installer GENERAL DUTIES: Candidate will be responsible for servicing scheduled installations of wireless broadband radios to connect customers to the Internet. REQUIREMENTS: Read and speak English in a manner to permit top level customer service. Possess a valid Driver's License and have minimal traffic violations. Be able to pass a Criminal Background Check. (No felony/drug/violence arrests.) Be able to pass Pre-employment, random and Post-Accident drug screening. Be able to operate alone. Be capable of following a standardized installation procedure. Possess basic tooling: cordless drill, sockets, screwdrivers, etc. Safely lift 40 pounds (ladder) from roof rack and move up to 100' alone. Record in database customer and equipment utilization. Be capable of operating a computer without hesitation. Be capable of learning and applying a basic IP Address numbering system. Present a pleasant, professional appearance to the customer. Experience with Motorola Canopy system installation preferred. TYPICAL INSTALLATION TASKS: Review and schedule the night prior. Ensure supplies, equipment and information are on-hand to complete the schedule. Navigate to the scheduled site at the scheduled time. Greet the customer and review work plan with them. Review the acceptable use policy with customer and obtain customer sign-off. Determine radio/antenna mounting location and confirm with customer. Briefly review your own Safety plan. (ladder, wiring, power lines, etc.) Mount radio/antenna and fine tune for best signal. Demonstrate functionality of the Internet connection to the customer. Run/pull Ethernet cable from radio/antenna to interior; adhering to codes, regulations and standards. Verify system functioning by testing equipment/connections, identifying problems and correcting them. Ensure customer has access to and completes financial and system disclosure and liability waiver Complete on-line link test and submit comments via email for database. Ensure customer knows how to access Internet. Ensure customer has "Troubleshooting Instructions" flyer. Present to customer the job invoice. Pleasantly thank the customer and depart the site.
